The Lot Line Adjustment process is used for a number of reasons such as:
- Reconfiguring lots to best-fit future developments.
- Adjusting property lines to accommodate encroachment issues.
- To allow adjoining owners to remedy boundary problems.
The general rule to utilize this process is that the same or fewer lots are created than was originally in place. Once a configuration is determined; a request to the governing agency is submitted requesting a certificate of compliance. The governing agency will then determine if the new configurations conform to zoning requirements, particularly in regards to size.
